Become a ReefBlitz supporter and help protect the Great Barrier Reef.
In 2017, Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) became the host for the Reef Citizen Science Alliance (The Alliance), enhancing opportunities for communities across Queensland to contribute to the conservation of the Great Barrier Reef.
The Alliance is a network of 13 organisations committed to work together to promote citizen science and help make a difference to the health of Queensland’s reefs. Together with CVA’s One Reef program, which aims to mobilise local communities to make a tangible difference to the Great Barrier Reef, we are very excited for the future conservation potential this partnership provides for Queensland’s reefs.
In celebration of the month in which the Great Barrier Reef was declared a World Heritage area, and the International Year of the Reef, support CVA, The Alliance members, and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation to facilitate ReefBlitz events throughout Queensland this October!
ReefBlitz engages the community in numerous citizen science programs designed to help track the Reef’s health and biodiversity, as well as local on-ground actions to help look after the reef.
This year, ReefBlitz will be held in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Gladstone and SEQ, during October.
Support an event at one (or more) of our ReefBlitz locations.
